All Rye residents, taxpayers and permanent employees of Rye, New Hampshire are eligible for a library card at no cost. Non-residents may obtain a card for $60/year.
All new residents, who are registering for a library card for the first time, are issued
a Rye Public Library tote bag filled with important community information.
At the end of each school year all kindergarten students are invited to a special gathering in the children's room to obtain their first library card. Children six years of age and older, who are unable to attend, are encouraged to come in at any time accompanied by a parent to receive a library card.
