Description:Modern India will be the subject of the Friends of the Rye Public Library's Speaker Series on Sunday, March 7, 2010, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Dr Whitney Howarth, Assistant Professor of History, Plymouth State University, will present "Perceptions of India: Yoga, Nukes, and Bollywood Dreams." Dr. Howarth will discuss cultural and economic changes in an age of globalization and address the issues that Indians care most about. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served.
